Who are we?
Camara Education is an international charity transforming learning across Africa through AI-powered education. Founded in 2005, we work with partners to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that improve how students learn and how teachers teach.
Through our network of locally led Education Hubs in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia, we deploy offline, curriculum-aligned AI tools that work in low-connectivity environments - bringing the benefits of artificial intelligence directly into classrooms that need it most. read more
Our model combines technology with deep local engagement: we equip schools with computers, install curriculum-based learning platforms, and train teachers to confidently use AI and digital tools in everyday teaching. Working closely with Ministries of Education, we ensure solutions are aligned to national curricula and sustainable at scale.
With over 20 years of experience, Camara has reached thousands of schools and trained thousands of teachers. Today, we are focused on closing the AI access gap, ensuring that students in underserved communities are not left behind in the global shift toward artificial intelligence.
