With the right technology, we can change that.
Through this initiative, we aim to provide schools in Kenya, Ethiopia,Tanzania and Zambia with powerful AI-assisted, offline learning tools, tailored to local needs, accessible without internet, and fully secure.

4.9 Million Children
Camara Education is a pioneering, award-winning international charity, dedicated to transforming learning through technology. Founded in 2005 in Dublin Ireland, we partner with organisations to repurpose their IT equipment to fund high-quality, refurbished computers for schools in Africa.
Through our locally run Education Hubs in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia, we provide a fully integrated approach, setting up Digital Learning Centres, installing curriculum-based educational software, and most importantly training teachers to ensure impactful digital learning. Working closely with Ministries of Education, we support schools with long-term maintenance, and monitor progress to maximise learning outcomes.
This year, we are beginning to integrate AI-powered learning tools to further enhance education and prepare students for the future.
With two decades of experience, we continue to innovate, expanding access to quality education and equipping the next generation with essential digital skills.

Camara delivers social and environmental impact – reducing IT disposal waste and emissions, and delivering transformative digital education.
We collect surplus IT equipment from businesses and process it to the highest environmental and data-security standards. We also aim to ensure that all our computers in Africa are appropriately recycled at end of life.
